If you've ever had a machine issue sorted quickly and efficiently, chances are you've met Jeff or Bronson. These two are the backbone of our coffee machine support, travelling across NSW to perform scheduled maintenance and respond to urgent call-outs. Whether it’s a steam arm that won’t behave or a grinder that’s gone rogue, these two are the reason our cafés stay up and running.
Who Are Jeff and Bronson?
Jeff is our long-time Service Manager, and Bronson is our skilled Service Technician. With decades of hands-on experience between them, they know espresso machines and grinders inside out. They also know their way around a coffee bar - both are accomplished baristas in their own right.
Unlike many coffee companies that outsource their tech support, we keep it all in-house. That means faster service, better communication, and a team that knows your equipment - and your business - like the back of their hand.
How You Can Help Us Help You
We’re here to support your café, so here are a few ways to make that support even better:
- Contact Us Early - If something sounds weird, looks off, or just doesn’t feel right, don’t wait. Even if it’s not stopping you from making coffee, give us a call. We might be able to swing by while we’re in the area and fix it before it becomes a major issue.
- Send Photos or Videos - If it’s hard to describe what’s going wrong, send us a video or picture. A short clip sent to service@fishriverroasters.com.au can save a lot of time and guesswork. Many customers do this, and it's genuinely helpful.
- Stay Calm and Follow the Steps - About half of all machine problems we receive can be solved over the phone. Jeff and Bronson will walk you through a series of checks and fixes. The fastest way to get back up and running is to follow their lead step-by-step.
- Check Your Grinder - We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: most machine problems are actually grinder adjustment problems. If your grind is too fine, your machine will struggle to push water through. Too coarse, and your shots might come out sour or burnt.
Most of our customers are now pretty savvy with grinder adjustments thanks to our barista training and grinder guides. But if you need a refresher or want to book a training session, give the office a ring at (02) 6331 7171 or email mail@fishriverroasters.com.au.
Whether it’s a quick phone fix or a cross-country road trip, Jeff and Bronson are the legends who keep the coffee flowing. And with a little teamwork, we can keep your café brewing smoothly all year round.
